Food is one of life’s greatest joys yet we’ve reached this really sad point where we’re turning food into the enemy, and something to be afraid of- Jamie Oliver
I have always loved cooking. I used to read these teenybopper books, about twin sisters who started cooking. The books cultivated my love for Chicken Picatta. Any chance I got as a kid, I cooked. I was never scared to try something new. The ideal outing for me is to go to an ethnic grocery store and find a random ingredient to inspire a meal. I’ve had a *few* mishaps in the kitchen. From mistaking 1 teaspoon of baking soda for 1 tablespoon, to not cooking the rice before I added it to the stir-fry. But I never would have learned to cook without those mishaps. I believe everyone can enjoy cooking, they just don’t know how. I also believe we’re paralyzed by too much knowledge. Before I started living more ancestrally, I equated healthy food with food made from scratch. And to some degree, that’s true. You should enjoy food. It’s not our enemy. No one wants to live a life scared of food. That is why I am dedicated to teaching about food. Teaching you skills like meal planning and preservation. Giving you recipes that are easy to follow and will impress your friends and neighbors. Helping you save time and money in the kitchen. I also want to help you remember, that food is food.
