a new adventure…

well, here it goes. im starting a blog. I’ve written blogs before, off and on, but I want this one to be different. I want to be able to share with people my thoughts, my recipes, my beliefs, my emotions, my philosphies, my heart, my journey. I’m not sure anyone aside from my family will actually read this, but by doing this, I am putting it out there. what’s put on the internet is for always, and my children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, will all be able to see my journey. I want to leave a mark on this world, to make a difference. I mean, don’t we all?

I enjoy writing, I enjoy the way my mind thinks about how I will write something down. I’m not a typical writer, but one none-the-less.

I enjoy the process of researching, of really searching what you believe, of formulating an argument in your head, and putting it down for others to see.

I enjoy being in the kitchen, and using creativity to make something plain, into something extrodinary. To me, feeding people is my way of showing I care. Food is not only nourishment to your physical body, but it is nourishment to your soul, it is healing. Food is what brings humanity together, regardless of social status, age, gender, religion, ethnicity. Food is essential to our well-being in every aspect.

I enjoy worship. For me, worship is best done in the arts form. I worship by drawing, painting, writing, cooking, singing, laughing. Worship is being how you were created in the presence of God.

I enjoy caring for my family. I will admit, it’s hard work. But I know that’s what I was created to be. A wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter.

I enjoy physical exertion. When you are at your wits end, is when you grow the most.

I enjoy helping others. Nothing is more satisfying than knowing you are making a difference in someone’s life.

I enjoy cleaning. It reminds me of what Jesus did for me and continues to do for me, wipes away my filth, and when it builds back up, does it over again.

I enjoy living.

I could go on and on and on about the things that enjoy, but then I would have nothing to blog about later. Until next time…
